Modern Slavery Statement

Man with Van Anerley Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Anerley has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implement effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of exploitation.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Anerley has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We do not tolerate any form of exploitation in our own activities or in those of our suppliers and business partners. All employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold the highest standards of human rights, and any breach of this policy may result in termination of employment or business relationships and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.

We are committed to continuous improvement in identifying, preventing, and addressing risks of modern slavery, and we strive to foster a culture where ethical conduct is central to how we work.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Anerley operates in the transport and removals sector, providing moving and related services to individuals and businesses. Our supply chain primarily includes vehicle and equipment providers, fuel and storage suppliers, and subcontracted labour for occasional support on larger projects. While we consider our direct operations to be relatively low risk, we acknowledge that risks can exist at multiple levels of the supply chain, particularly in logistics, temporary labour, and ancillary services.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We are committed to working only with suppliers and partners who share our values on human rights and fair working practices. As part of our due diligence, we expect suppliers to confirm that they do not engage in any form of modern slavery or human trafficking and that they comply with all relevant labour and employment laws.

Man with Van Anerley is implementing a programme of supplier assessments and audits, proportionate to the level of risk and the nature of the relationship. These audits may include review of employment practices, right to work checks, use of subcontractors, and health and safety standards. Where concerns are identified, we will work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans. If issues are not remediated within reasonable timeframes, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

We encourage anyone who works for or with Man with Van Anerley, as well as members of the public, to raise concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical practices. Concerns can be reported confidentially to management or through our internal whistleblowing procedures. We are committed to ensuring that no one suffers any retaliation or detrimental treatment for reporting concerns in good faith.

All reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and managed sensitively. Where appropriate, we will cooperate fully with law enforcement and relevant agencies.

Training, Awareness, and Responsibility

Responsibility for overseeing our modern slavery strategy rests with senior management at Man with Van Anerley. Managers are required to promote awareness of modern slavery risks and to ensure that this statement and our related policies are communicated to staff and relevant suppliers.

We provide guidance and training, appropriate to roles and responsibilities, so that team members can recognise indicators of modern slavery, understand how to respond to concerns, and know how to escalate issues. New employees are made aware of our zero-tolerance policy as part of their induction.

Monitoring and Annual Review

We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process. Man with Van Anerley will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every year, or more frequently if required by changes in legislation, business operations, or identified risks. As part of this review, we will evaluate the effectiveness of our controls, supplier due diligence, audit findings, and any issues raised through reporting channels.

Following each annual review, we will update our practices where necessary and communicate any significant changes to our staff and key suppliers. Through this process of continuous improvement, Man with Van Anerley aims to strengthen its contribution to the elimination of modern slavery and the protection of human rights in our sector.
